For many of us, summer suddenly arrived with 90+ degree weather and humidity. If your muscles are tired, you feel more worn down, or just can’t tolerate the heat, you may need some more minerals!
Staying hydrated during the summer is more than just drinking plenty of water. Your body needs various minerals for proper hydration and health. Here are some of my favorite supplements, especially important during the summer!
Workout – This is a powder in our well+vita line. It includes electrolytes (sodium, chloride, potassium, magnesium, and calcium) plus BCAAs and other nutrients. I love taking this before exercise to improve endurance. But, it’s an excellent option to help summer hydration even when you’re not exercising. There are no sweeteners or junk like in many electrolyte drinks. I just add a scoop to my water bottle!
Potassium Plus – Potassium is an important mineral for hydration and fluid circulation. If you find yourself getting puffy fingers with heat or just feel dehydrated, adding more potassium is helpful. This formula also includes taurine, which is a helpful nerve nutrient.
RelaxaMag – This is one supplement I never want to run out of! I take it before bed to help sleep. But, magnesium is also needed for muscles, nerves, stress tolerance, and staying hydrated.
Daily Energy Multiple Vitamin – Lastly, we can’t forget the Bs! Daily Energy gives you pre-energized coenzyme B vitamins and Krebs cycle nutrients for adrenal support and energy, helping your body tolerate heat stress.
